Bruley, the beloved French Bulldog who panted his way into America’s hearts over the last two seasons of Queer Eye has sadly died according to his owner, producer Michelle Silva.

“Bru had been suffering from heart problems, and an instant heart attack was a possibility. He just had too much love and heart for his physical body,” Silva wrote on Instagram. “I held him as he took his last breath, and I was able to tell him I loved him the very most.”

“In the last year of his life, he found fame!,” Silva continued, “Over the course of 16 episodes of @queereye, in just a few moments on screen, you guys all got a glimpse of the Bru I knew and loved. He was hilarious, stubborn, sometimes inappropriate, and always a sucker for a snack. He was pure love.”

Silva works down the hall from the Fab Five, and would take Bruley over to see the Queer Eye crew for pets and cuddles.

Bruley gained his own following, amassing almost 300,000 followers on his Instagram, which includes his own adventures, as well as pics with the Queer Eye team. His fans will surely miss him.

Bobby Berk commented on the post, saying, “Breaks my heart. So sorry for your lose [sic] love.” Antoni Porowski also commented in an Instagram story saying “Rest in puppy peace, because all dogs go to heaven, little one.” We’re all sending love to Bru, Silva and everyone who loved this beautiful pup.
