It's happening in multiple states at this point.
Mikelle StreetThere’s many ways that fans of proclaimed their love for Schitt’s Creek and the rose family. Some have used markers, or pieces of paper to make their eyebrows thicker, like David and Johnny Rose. Others have hightailed it to Los Angeles to make out in front of a billboard featuring a kiss between David and his fiance Patrick. But apparently, there’s another way to profess your adoration: license plates.
“It is wild that, as far as we can tell, people in 22 provinces, territories and states in north American have some kind of #EwDavid license plate,” the official Schitt’s Creek account wrote to Twitter earlier this month. “You are an amazing bunch.”
The tweet included a map that filled up Alaska, California, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, and more (presumably places where people had gotten the plates.)
Fans were quick to flood the comments, either lamenting the fact that the plate was taken in their respective states, showing they had newly registered, or alert friends that their states were still available.
One user posted a photo of his plate from California, alongside him wearing an “Ew, David” t-shirt, making a hand motion similar to one that Alexis Rose (who is the one who usually says “Ew, David”) makes.
“You started it all!” the Schitt’s account tweeted back.
But, since that initial tweet quite a few others have signed up. According to Schitt’s seven new states came aboard for a full 29 at the show’s count. But, there might be some that have been left out.
“North Carolina still isn’t highlighted but there’s still a lot of Ew, David love here in the Tar Heel State,” one user wrote alongside a photo of a license plate that substituted @ for the A. Talk about support.
The final season of Schitt’s Creek is currently airing on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. on PopTV.
