Gentlemen, start your engines!
RuPaul's Drag RaceCelebsMikelle StreetWell, it's here! After being initially announced late last year, the debut episode of RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race has begun to air. Kicking off immediately after Drag Race season 12's latest episode, the four-part series introduced viewers to the first three celebrity contestants: Nico Tortorello, Jordan Connor, and Jermaine Fowler.
While the list was kept as much under wraps as possible, eagle-eyed fans had already surmised that Nico Tortorella would compete, given the tattoos they spotted in a preview. While on the show, they mentioned that they had first been put in drag five years ago.
Connor is known for his role on Riverdale and Fowler is a comedian.
The contestants are competing for the title of America's Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar as well as $30,000 for a charity of their choice.
Tortorella chose Transgender Law Center, Connor chose Cystic Fibrosis Canada, and Fowler chose Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.
The three were paired up with three Queen Supremes in Bob the Drag Queen, Monet X Change, and Trixie Mattel. As advisors, they helped to transform the competitors for a variety of challenges familiar to the Drag Race fandom. For the first episode the boys had to get into quick drag — unassisted — for a mini-challenge, prior to preparing for their maxi-challenge.
In the other three episodes of the special, viewers can prepare to see Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Kim Chi, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo as Queen Supremes.
Future celebrity contestants will only be revealed during their respective episodes.
