Looks like we got some women up in this gig!
RuPaul's Drag RaceMikelle Street*This post contains small spoilers from RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race episode 2.
Another episode of RuPaul's Drag Race down, and the second episode of RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race to go! In a week where Drag Race proper made over a group of female superfans of the show, now it's time for the Queen Supremes of Celebrity Drag Race to put their brushes to a similar task.
For those who turned into the first of the four-part Celebrity Drag Race special, it was Nico Tortorella, Jordan Connor, and Jermaine Fowler getting all gussied up to hit the mainstage. This week, it's all women.
Loni Love was the first contestant to walk into the Werk Room. Love is an Emmy winning talkshow host that notably is on The Real. Tami Roman was the second, know most notably for Basketball Wives. Last up and certainly not the least was Vanessa Williams, who made history as the first African-American woman to win Miss America. She's, of course, become known for many other things since then.
"I wanted to be a part of RuPaul's Drag Race because I judged twice and to do drag," Williams said. "It's out of my comfort zone."
The three contestants will be put through their paces for the title of America's Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar — it's worth noting that you only keep the crown for a week. They will be mentored by Queen Supremes Trinity the Tuck, Asia O'Hara, and Alyssa Edwards. Last week news surfaced that the Queen Supremes aren't the only drag performers helping out the contestants on set as Shannel, Mayhem Miller, and Laila McQueen were credited as creative consultants for the episode.
The competition consists of signature Drag Race challenges. For the first week, they competed in the Snatch Game
At the end of the show, all three contestants compete in a lip sync. Afterward, the winner of the episode awarded $30,000 to a charity of their choice. The prize also comes with a crown and scepter.
