Ru called in her cousin, Cory Booker, to do the honors.
RuPaul's Drag RaceMikelle StreetIt is indeed the big day: RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 is finally coming to an end. But not without one more cameo appearance.
Ahead of tonight's finale, the show has released one last preview clip. In the clip Senator Cory Booker videos in to tell the queens the rules for the Lip Sync Smackdown.
Booker's inclusion comes as RuPaul and Booker recently learned the two were related. In an episode of PBS's Find Your Roots, RuPaul was told that the two had blood relations and Booker later spoke about it on The Wendy Williams Show. But Ru needed him to do a little work for their latest link up.
"Thank you cousin Rupaul," Booker said in his video. "You all already know the rules, so I just want to say thank you. In life we were not born to fit in, we were born to stand out. To make the most out of ourselves and to always elevate and enrich the lives of others. John Lewis, one of my heroes said it best, never let any one, any person, or any force dampen, dim, or diminish your light."
"Thank god, thank god for America, and thank god for my cousin RuPaul," he finished.
The clip indicated that the rules for the Lip Sync Smackdown would be as they have been previously: Ru will spin a will to select competing queens, who will then face off in a head-to-head. The remaining two will compete and the winners of those two bouts will also lip sync.
We can already tell from the looks that there's likely at least two reveals but we will hve to watch tonight to see what they tear away to.
The finale episode will air at 8 pm on VH1.
