Last week, HBO Max's Legendary premiered its second season. For it, the show dropped three episodes, sending home three of the 10 competing houses — yeah, they did not come to play. The first few episodes also pretty quickly established some standout talents. Namely, we're referring to the houses of Balenciaga, Miyake-Mugler, and Tisci. The latter house just got some of the most ultimate praise on social media.

The House of Tisci was introduced to the competition in the second part of the two-episode Grand March premiere. Headed by Mother Gia Tisci on the series, the team includes Stanley, Dro, Tray, and Simone Tisci. As they note in the episode, the house is known for its legacy of professional dancers, and the house itself was started as a breakoff of the House of Milan.

"We know how to put together a performance," Tray said in the introduction. "It's not just a show.

"The fact that we are all technically trained, we bring something a little bit different to the table," Gia concurred. "Strategically, that's a lot of fire baby. That's a lot of heat." And bring it they did.

Their first performance brought out some of the best critiques of the episode.

"Riccardo Tisci is actually a good friend of mine and I think he would be really proud of the performance tonight," judge Law Roach said after the performance, referencing the house's namesake Riccardo Tisci.

When the House of Tisci was formed, it was named for fashion designer Riccardo Tisci. At the time he was the creative director for the fashion label Givenchy but he's since decamped to Burberry. Saturday, he posted the Grand March performance from Legendary's House of Tisci onto Instagram.

"I'm so humbly grateful and shocked to have a house with my name!" he wrote in a post. "You guys made me proud! Sending you all my love and support." He went on to tag the members competing on the show.

Tisci isn't the first to recognize a house named for him. Isaac Mizrahi notably met the House of Mizrahi ahead of the Love Hangover ball at W Hotel in 2012. He was dubbed an honorary father. In addition, Chachou Miyake-Mugler and Kendall Miyake Mugler appeared in the Mugler Resort 2020 lookbook.  Following Legendary, ballroom's Xclusiv House of Lanvin did a short video in partnership with the fashion label Lanvin as well and most recently, Twiggy Pucci Garcon of ballroom's House of Commes Des Garcons was dressed by Commes Des Garcons for a recent Pose premiere.

If the first three episodes of Legendary are any indication, Riccardo Tisci can expect to be represented well by the house that bears his name. In the third episode, they became the first house to get a perfect score of all 10s across the board.
