How cool would a film project based on the critically-acclaimed, queer AF comedy series be?!

Pop TV's groundbreaking (and award-winning), queer-inclusive comedy series Schitt's Creek may have ended its history-making run a little over a year ago, but diehard fans of the show are already hoping for some kind of reunion project to happen in the future, and while there isn't anything on the horizon (for now), the show's star and creator Dan Levy wants people to know that doesn't mean something can't happen in the future!

In a recent interview with Town & Country magazine with fellow TV star Rashida Jones, Levy opened up about the possibility of a Schitt's Creek film after his co-star and Emmy winner Annie Murphy (who plays David's hilarious sister Alexis) made comments last month about how "over the moon" she would be if the show's cast got to reunite in the future for a movie project.

"I mean, I’ve been sending Dan $5 a day in the mail as a bribe. So far, I have not heard back about a movie officially. But, oh, my God, I would be just over the moon if that ever came to pass because I miss everyone so much every day," Murphy, who is currently starring in her own AMC dark comedy Kevin Can F**k Himself, told Us Weekly. "Just to see Moira again, I would pay a lot of money to do that."

"That pesky woman!" Levy replied about Murphy when asked by T&C. "No, not right now. I hope eventually."

While Levy revealed that there aren't any plans to produce a Schitt's Creek film at the moment, he did go on to say that anything is possible as long as the story is right and that he wants to give viewers a little time to miss the beloved Rose family before jumping back too quickly into anything (which is totally understandable). Right now, he's still searching for the perfect story and is just as hopeful as Schitt's Creek stans are that something will happen in the future.

"Listen, I love everybody so much. I love Annie, even for hinting at that. We had such a great time making the show and I think if the idea is right, I would love to explore what a movie could look like. But, I don't have that idea yet. I'm still searching for it," he said. "My fingers are crossed, but I also think you need to give people a little time to miss you. So, I'm taking some time and we'll see what happens in the next couple of years, but my fingers are tightly crossed."

So are ours, Dan! So are ours.
