Emmy-winning writer and actor Dan Levy might have co-created one of the most beloved and critically-acclaimed LGBTQ-inclusive sitcoms of all time with Schitt's Creek, but despite how loved it is, Levy himself isn't a huge fan of every single aspect of the show...

As a matter of fact, during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show, he even admitted that one of the comedy series' most iconic catchphrases kinda gives him the ick...

But what's the iconic catchphrase in question that makes Levy says will "haunt" him for the rest of his days? Well, believe it or not, it's actually "Ew, David."

Yup, despite being one of the more recognizable lines from a TV show in recent years, Levy admits that's he's not the biggest fan of the now-iconic dialogue (made famous by Levy's co-star and on-screen sister Annie Murphy, who played Alexis Rose on Schitt's Creek) that is probably quoted on a daily basis by many Schitt's Creek stans.

Levy was on Kimmel's show to promote Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: The Story of Schitt’s Creek, a brand new book, authored by Levy and his father/Schitt's Creek co-creator Eugene, that chronicles the story (and the lasting impact) of the comedy series, and in one excerpt of the volume, fans from many different states showed off their "Ew, David" license plates.

"All of these people in all of these states?" Kimmel asks, showing off the pages of Best Wishes, Warmest Regards to the audience.

It's then that Levy makes the revelation to Kimmel that "Ew, David!" is going to be haunting him for the foreseeable future.

"It's resulted in a sort of tagline that I think will haunt me for the rest of my life," Levy said to Kimmel. "'Ew' is not necessarily something you want screamed at you in your most vulnerable time."

Watch Dan Levy discuss the implications of "Ew, David!" and so much more with Jimmy Kimmel below.
