JoJo Siwa isn't the only out-and-proud member of the LGBTQ+ community absolutely rocking the ballroom floor on the current season of ABC's beloved reality competition Dancing With the Stars! Popular, out Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby is also still very much in the competition, even though it hasn't been easy for him!

In a recent interview with Page Six, the 34-year-old heartthrob opened up about how, after testing positive for COVID-19 in the early days of the competition forced he and dance partner Cheryl Burke to quarantine and compete virtually, he was contemplating leaving the show altogether.

“We definitely had a very bumpy, very rocky start to this,” Rigsby told Page Six. “I remember talking to my boss or a friend of mine and I was like, ‘Should I just quit? Should I not do it? Like, I have COVID, it’s going to be so crazy.’

“She was like, ‘No, do this. It’ll feel like a memory in two weeks and you’ll get through,’” he continued.

Luckily, Rigsby was able to pull through, and is now headed to the semifinals of DWTS

“I mean, it was just a thought. Those thoughts pop in your head,” Rigsby said about almost quitting. “A part of you, the inner saboteur, is going to tell you to quit. It’s going to tell you that you can’t do it.”

“You have to hold ground and push back from that ego and keep pumping.”
