Editor's note: this article contains spoilers from the season three finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Big news for Tarlos fans! Actually, it’s The Biggest News! Our favorite couple is engaged!!! That’s right, our boy TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) stepped up and proposed to his boyfriend, Carlos Reyes (Rafael L. Silva), on Monday night's season three finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star!

We know it’s been a tough three seasons for TK. He’s been dumped, he’s been in rehab, he’s been hospitalized several times, his mother died, and he’s nearly died. But the one other constant besides disaster and stress has been Carlos. Now, they’ll be together forever.

Earlier in the episode, Carlos had been updating his will, something that TK thought was totally morbid and unnecessary. But in the end, it was exactly the thing that inspired TK to take action!

Just when it seemed like we'd never get an engagement, and after a finale featuring flashbacks to 9/11, a gas explosion, and Judd re-breaking his leg, we finally got to see Carlos and TK back at home in bed, but not until the final ten minutes! Please stop teasing us like this!!!

Then, at 3:18am, TK woke Carlos up.

“What, do you smell smoke? IS THE LIZARD BACK???” Carlos asks.

But no, TK wants to work on his will. When Carlos asks why it can’t wait until the morning, TK says, “I don’t want to waste another minute. It’ll be easy because I’ll just leave everything to my husband,“ he says to a shocked Carlos. “Marry me.”

Carlos is hesitant at first, saying “TK, we’ve had a pretty dramatic week.”

“It's not drama. It’s not drama, it’s love,” TK says. “The kind that you can’t get away from. And baby, my life has been scarred with loss, and at times it felt inescapable, but that's the risk of love, right? For the first time in my life, the love that I feel is infinitely more powerful than the fear of losing it. And every moment that we’re not married is a wasted moment, and baby, we only get so many.”

“Tyler, can I say yes now?” Carlos interrupts him, calling him by his whole first name!!

“I sure hope so,” TK replies.

“Then yes, a thousand times yes,” Carlos says, and the two kiss.

Wow, I’m crying so much!! We’re all crying, right??

Actors Ronen Rubinstein and Rafael L. Silva are doing such a great job of bringing the characters and their love story to life. Seeing them grow each as characters and grow together has been one of the best parts of this show.

Later, at Settlers of Catan night, they announce the big news to their 126 family. Or at least they try, but then Marjan, Nancy, and Paul start noticing how fancy the spread of snacks is. And that there’s sparkling cider (because TK doesn’t drink) and glasses to celebrate something. The three of them figure it out and congratulate the happy couple while the always adorable Mateo takes a moment to figure it out and catch up to what’s being announced.

It’s beautiful seeing the 126 family come together and celebrate TK and Carlos’ news like this. This is what we all hope for and dream of. After everything that’s happened this season, they deserved a moment like this — and so did we!

The news is made even better by other news we got yesterday, when it was announced that the show was renewed for a fourth season!

Now we’ll get to see what Tarlos engaged life looks like! Truly, 9-1-1: Lone Star delivered on a perfect cap to this season, and another perfect Tarlos moment.
