Some viewers are confused.
EntertainmentHBOBernardo SimWithout Megan Thee Stallion as a judge, the third season of Legendary is missing some “hot girl sh*t.”
Fans who have been keeping up with the news about Legendary were well-aware that the Grammy-winning rapper wouldn’t be returning as a judge for the third season of the show. However, there were still many viewers who were confused as they tuned into Legendary on HBO Max for the latest season and didn’t see the Megan on the judging panel.
Mainstay judges Leiomy Maldonado, Law Roach, and Jameela Jamil have all returned for the third season, but Thee Stallion has been replaced with actress Keke Palmer. While a formal explanation wasn’t provided by the show or the “W.A.P.” rapper, it isn’t hard to see that several scheduling conflicts prevented her from coming back to the show.
In 2022, it was announced that Thee Stallion was joining Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia Tour, which was kicked off on February 9 in Miami, Florida. This means that Thee Stallion had already been deep into rehearsal for the tour in January and started touring with Lipa in February. That was precisely when Legendary was reportedly filming its third season, making it impossible for the rapper to be in two places at the same time.
Besides the Future Nostalgia Tour, Thee Stallion spent the first few busy months of 2022 releasing new songs – “Lick” featuring Shenseea and “Sweetest Pie” featuring Dua Lipa – along with the music videos that accompanied these singles.
The rapper is now also focusing on other endeavors, such as acting, and even landed a role in the upcoming A24 musical comedy F*cking Idential Twins, according to a story from The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s no secret that Thee Stallion loved being a judge on Legendary, and it’s possible for her to come back in a future season of the reality competition. When it comes to this third season, however, the rapper just couldn’t make it work as far as scheduling goes...
Legendary season three is now streaming on HBO Max.
