Boyfriend twins are shaking.
HBO’s newest series The Time Traveler’s Wife features a scene where the male lead, Henry, time-travels to give himself oral in his bedroom. While the older version of Henry is played by Theo James (Divergent) as an adult, this particular moment on the show has actor Brian Altemus (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) playing a teenage version of the character.
During a conversation with Clare (played by Rose Leslie on the show), Henry reveals that he has used his time-traveling abilities to pleasure himself when he was younger. That scene cuts to a flashback sequence where 16-year-old Henry is seen giving himself oral in his bedroom and is subsequently caught by his father in the middle of the act.
When the scene cuts back to the conversation between adult Henry and Clare, he tells her: “I mean, I’m not gay… but you know? You would, wouldn’t you?”
A puzzled Clare asks, “You went gay for yourself?”
Henry’s response is, “Okay, come on. I was 16.”
This scene takes place in the second episode of The Time Traveler’s Wife series, which just premiered May 15 and is streaming on HBO Max. The show was created by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Adventures of Tintin) and also features actors Desmin Borges (Gomez), Michael Park (Philip), Natasha Lopez (Charisse), and Jaime Ray Newman (Lucille), to name a few.
For context, this is the second live-action adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 novel The Time Traveler’s Wife. In 2009, the book was adapted into a film starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. The movie grossed over $100 million at the box office.
The Time Traveler’s Wife is now streaming on HBO Max.
