The first season of “the gay Bachelor” ended Thursday night as Finding Prince Charming’s Robert Sepulveda chose the winner of the dating reality show.
In the series’ final “Black Tie Affair,” Sepulveda chose Eric Leonardos in an emotional scene, telling him to keep his tie. “I think that our lives crossed for a reason,” Sepulveda said.
Leonardos made headlines a few episodes back when he revealed to another contestant, Justin, and then to Sepulveda that he is HIV positive.
Hinting at that revelation during the finale, Sepulveda said, “There’s nothing you could say to me that would ever scare me away.”
Also during the finale, Sepulveda opened up to the other contestants about his past as a sex worker when he was younger–a story the show has stumbled to stay ahead of during the season.
Finding Prince Charming will have a second season, with a premiere date to be announced. Logo is opening up the search for eligible gay bachelors with an online casting call from Nov. 3 through Nov. 16.
