The "Easy" singer is staying booked and busy working alongside Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd in Euphoria creator Sam Levinson's newest HBO show.
Troye Sivan is having a very busy 2022!
After starring as the lead in Paramount+'s gay coming-of-age film Three Months, the "Easy" and "Angel Baby" singer is also taking on more dramatic roles in his television series debut The Idol!
Created by Euphoria mastermind Sam Levinson and co-starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd, The Idol is being teased as "the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood," according to a recently released teaser.
As we previously reported, the newest HBO series tells the story of "a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult (The Weeknd), who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol" named Jocelyn (Depp), according to a description from Deadline.
"I’m still filming it, I was on set yesterday. I’m just having the best time," Sivan told W in a February interview when asked about his experience shooting The Idol. "I think because [filming] has been such a long time and it’s been so consistent I feel like, 'Oh, I could really, really do this.' Not even from an ability point of view, just from an enjoyment point of view. I’m having such a good time and the quality of every single aspect of a production like this is so inspiring to watch. It’s just a crazy experience, it’s been so fun."
No release date has been announced just yet, but The Idol is set to premiere very soon on HBO Max. Watch the first official teaser below!
