Mama Ru is taking over the mother-tucking world!

World of Wonder has announced that casting is open for three new international editions of RuPaul’s Drag Race set in Brazil, Mexico, and Germany.

In three separate posts shared simultaneously on Instagram, World of Wonder called upon drag queens in Brazil, Mexico, and Germany to apply on worldofwonder.com/casting. The social media posts and casting pages for each of these shows are respectively written in Portuguese, Spanish, and German for local applicants to submit their information.

It didn’t take long for the fandom to freak out over the fact that Drag Race Brazil, Drag Race Mexico, and Drag Race Germany might all be coming to our TVs sooner rather than later.

A Brazilian version of Drag Race has been rumored for a very, very long time. However, the series has faced several production delays over the years according to local trade publications.

Brazil has huge drag superstars such as Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove. The winner of Queen of the Universe season one, Grag Queen, also happens to be Brazilian. As such, speculation over which queen(s) will host the series has already begun.

There has also been a lot of speculation surrounding a Mexican edition of Drag Race given that the franchise’s only Spanish-speaking series set in Latin America had been Chile’s The Switch– which followed a completely different format.

Notable contestants of Mexican heritage who have appeared in the US series include Valentina and Crystal Methyd, but fans are convinced that a legendary queen who resides in Mexico will likely be picked to host the competition.

In 2019, model and America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum launched a new drag competition in Germany called Queen of Drags. At the time, it was rumored that a German version of Drag Race would be greenlit to compete with that new show, but nothing came of it at the time. Now, it seems like Drag Race Germany is closer to becoming a reality.

We can’t wait to watch these Brazilian, Mexican, and German queens sissying their walk into the Drag Race werkroom.

Canada’s Drag Race season two and RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under season three are now streaming on WOW Presents Plus.
