Haynes is staying booked and busy in the upcoming Swindler Seduction!
LifetimeMoviesEntertainmentFilmMey RudeColton Haynes is ready to double-team you.
Haynes, who has previously starred in Arrow and Teen Wolf, is set to star in a double role in an all-new Lifetime movie based on true events.
Haynes is starring as twin brothers in the movie Swindler Seduction, which is inspired by true events and "exposes the world of the romantic con artists, i.e. men who earn their living off women who they fool and steal from."
Swindler Seduction also stars Gabrielle Graham, known for playing Nia on Twenties. It’s being directed by Hallmark movie veteran Jonathan Wright and written by Liz Lake.
The movie is a part of Lifetime’s new slate of ripped-from-the-headlines films. Previously announced movies in the series include The Gabby Petito Story (about a woman killed by her fiance while they were traveling together in a van trip across the US), The Disappearance of Cari Farver (about a missing woman and the scammer who impersonated her), and Let’s Get Physical (about a fitness instructor who spends her nights running a ring of sex workers ).
These movies will air on back-back Saturdays starting October 1 at 8pm ET. Swindler Seduction debuts on October 22. Lifetime also announced another new movie, An Amish Sin, about “an Amish teen who tries to escape the harshness of the 18th century lifestyle she has grown up in to find her voice and independence in a neighboring city.”
Haynes started his career as a model, but broke out as an actor while he was appearing on the 2011 MTV show Teen Wolf and The CW’s Arrow in 2012. In Arrow he played Roy Harper, who becomes the vigilante Arsenal.
He released a memoir this year, Miss Memory Lane, in which he details his coming-out journey, homophobia he faced in Hollywood, and sexual harassment and exploitation he dealt with as a young actor in Hollywood.
