Natalie WhalenDROP EVERYTHING. Lifetime's Beaches remake trailer is finally here, and it features Idina Menzel covering yet another Bette Midler classic, "Wind Beneath My Wings."
The remake, announced back in July, features Menzel in the role of C.C. (originally played by Midler) and Nia Long as her lifetime friend, Hillary.
Just like in the 1988 original, he remake will follow the two friends through C.C.'s stage success and Hillary's illness. The synopsis describes their friendship as lasting despite their "different backgrounds—C.C., a budding singer, and Hillary, the daughter of a civil rights lawyer."
