We love ourselves some Murray Bartlett!

From making a cameo as a gay best friend (GBF) on Sex and the City to his Emmy-winning performance on The White Lotus to his heartbreakingly beautiful role on The Last of Us, Murray Bartlett has been playing queer characters for many years – giving us the LGBTQ+ representation we craved even when there were such few roles available for out gay actors.

Between those landmark performances, Bartlett also played gay men in memorable projects like 2011’s indie August, HBO’s gay drama Looking, Netflix’s Tales of the City reboot, Apple TV+’s Physical, and Hulu’s Welcome to Chippendales. Overall, we absolutely stan Bartlett for all the hard work he’s done to represent the LGBTQ+ community in mainstream media!
