Uncoupled is re-coupling with a different streaming service.

Created by Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, the first season of Uncoupled premiered on Netflix with a cast that included Neil Patrick Harris (Michael), Tuc Watkins (Colin), Tisha Campbell (Suzanne), Marcia Gay Harden (Claire), Emerson Brooks (Billy), and Brooks Ashmanskas (Stanley).

The rom-com series premiered in July 2022 and was canceled by Netflix in January 2023. Just a month after, however, Showtime has now “saved” the series from cancelation by picking up Uncoupled for a second season.

This is great news for people who were upset by Netflix’s cancelation of Uncoupled after just one season despite the show getting generally favorable reviews from audiences.

Showtime is owned by Paramount and is currently being bundled within the Paramount+ streaming service as a premium add-on. The parent company recently announced its plans to merge Paramount+ and Showtime, so the differentiation between those two services will be minimized even further.

It is definitely interesting that Uncoupled will now live in the same home as shows like The L Word: Generation Q, Yellowjackets, and I Love That for You. We will be streaming season two!
