This week, RuPaul’s Drag Race fans have been following an explosive fight between Dida Ritz and Jaremi (the artist formerly known as Phi Phi O’Hara).

On Friday, January 24, Ritz was a featured guest on a Roscoe’s Tavern viewing party for Drag Race season 15 alongside Willam and Kandy Muse, which was live-streamed on YouTube. During their conversation, Willam claimed that Jaremi will appear in an upcoming E! series seemingly called House of Villains, which will feature “villains from iconic reality shows.” The debate eventually led to Ritz calling Jaremi “a b*tch” and things that Jaremi had said about her during a past interview on Hey Qween.

As a result, Jaremi took to social media to defend himself and bring up other accusations about Ritz, who subsequently responded to those new tweets.

Jaremi (as Phi Phi O’Hara) was interviewed on Hey Qween back in July 2016. For context, this period of time was right before RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2, which premiered in August 2016 on Logo TV.

During the Hey Qween segment known as Look at Huh, Ritz’s picture came up, and host Jonny McGovern could sense that Jaremi had a lot to say about her season four costar. Jaremi eventually conceded and said the following:

“[Ritz] used to live with me, actually. (…) I will tell you this, and she might get upset about it, but she is probably one of the messiest people I’ve ever lived with. Everybody knows I love my Popeye’s Chicken, but she like, takes the cake with Popeye’s Chicken. I would come home and there were like boxes everywhere… and I’m like, ‘What the f*ck?’ First of all, where did you get the money for all of this chicken? But, like, she eats a lot.”

Ritz made a special guest appearance on Roscoe’s Tavern to watch episode nine of Drag Race season 15 on Friday, January 24, 2023. After Jaremi’s name was brought up in the conversation, it prompted Ritz to recall the things Jaremi had said about her on Hey Qween. Ritz explained:

“When she went on Hey Qween, she disrespected me and made up a lot of lies. I’ve been very quiet about it for so many years, and she knows what she did, so this is what I’m going to say: ‘F*ck her and I hope you’re having a good life.’”

Ritz added, “When [Jaremi] went on Hey Qween, she made up a lot of lies talking about Popeye’s Chicken boxes and all types of disrespectful stuff that she knows would gaslight fans to disrespect me and come for me. I just did not appreciate that and I’ve been quiet for so many years. Even when I went on Hey Qween, he did the Look at Huh [segment] and it was Phi Phi, and I still didn’t even speak in that moment because I still had to process what she was saying. She knew what she did was wrong… and f*ck her.”

Jaremi tells Dida Ritz to keep his name out of her mouth.

Jaremi reacted to Ritz’s statements from Roscoe’s Tavern with a couple of tweets. He wrote:

“Dida Ritz, keep my name out of your mouth. I picked your shit off a Chicago sidewalk, gave you a roof when no one would, YOU decided to wreck my living space... I don’t think you want me to bring up why you aren't allowed to work at Industry bar in NYC... or would you?”

Jaremi added, “I’d tag you but you probably have me blocked because that’s what happens when I bring up truths... but I am sure the Drag Race scene will relay the message. Keep it cute… or I will get cuter! <3 xoxo.”

Dida Ritz claps back at Jaremi’s tweets.

Ritz wrote a series of tweets in response to Jaremi’s posts. She wrote:

“I heard the trolls are big mad because of what I said at the Roscoe’s viewing party. I mean, it’s on footage the racist micro-aggressions you were throwing at me were obvious. So if you wanna be mad, be mad at yourself & we could also talk GayUSofA & why [you’re] banned.”

She continued, “And I’ve always had nothing but a great time at any bar in NYC, that’s why I still am doing drag!”

Jaremi gives his side of the story regarding the Gay USofA pageant.

According to Jaremi, there wasn’t that much drama concerning his ban from the Gay USofA pageant. He tweeted:

“I was banned for a year for not showing up after a prelim… lmfao. Nice try on the ‘gotcha’… but there is nothing big there like she thought… but she can pander to her pick-me followers.”
