Fans of HBO’s The White Lotus and Netflix’s You are probably huge fans of Lukas Gage, who has recurring roles on both shows and is known for fully committing to his roles. From scenes where he is getting peed on to other scenes of his ass getting rimmed, Gage isn’t afraid of making things a little risqué for the sake of his characters.

During an interview with Variety, Gage was asked about the recent comments from Diplo about being “not not gay.” The actor replied:

“I’m sure there are a lot of people who have that same exact experience but maybe don’t have the confidence or the honesty to talk about it like that. And, you know, there’s going to be people on either side saying that he’s not labeling himself enough.”

He added, “I commend [Diplo] on his honesty and I don’t think we need to label everything and have it all figured out. Things can be in a gray area and don’t have to be so black and white.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Gage also talked about his mother's thoughts on his raunchy scenes. “She says, ‘That’s a great ass. Get that money. Get that bag and be committed.’ My mom’s cool. She’s like a cool little hippie lady. With nudity, I think we both share sort of a European vibe.”

Fans of Gage can keep an eye out for How to Blow Up a Pipeline, as well as the premiere of raunchy queer comedy Down Low, which he co-wrote with Phoebe Fisher and also stars in with Zachary Quinto.

As to what to expect in the latter film, Gage said, “My hope is that they [fetish communities] feel like it’s a space of sex positivity and sexual identity positivity. For me, that movie is really a story about selfishness versus selflessness and embracing one’s true self before it’s too late.”
