Karamo Brown, best known for being one of the Fab Five members on Netflix’s Queer Eye, has gotten a season two renewal for his daytime talk show, Karamo, which has national syndication by NBCUniversal.

When announcing the renewal, NBCUniversal and E! News executive vice president Tracie Wilson wrote in a statement:

“Karamo is a charismatic television personality who has resonated with viewers in his premiere season. Drawing from his unique experience as a social service worker, author, and father, he brings a fresh perspective with creative ideas for every show. We’re thrilled to bring another season to the daytime audience.”

Brown said, “As an openly gay and black man hosting a syndicated daytime talk show, this means so much to me, but also to a community that often isn’t represented.”

Karamo utilizes Brown’s personality to foster human connection and covers a wide variety of topics, including infidelity, DNA mysteries, and a focus on complex family dynamics and parenting.

As to where this renewal leaves Brown in regard to Queer Eye, he told Variety: “Please let there be 40 more seasons! I love working with those four yahoos.”

He added, “I grew up poor. Just because you got a new job, you don’t leave the old one. I don’t know how rich people do it, but just because you’ve got a new check don’t mean you leave the old check.”

He also thanked Queer Eye for being a “training ground” for him to do what he does now on his talk show. However, one thing viewers should not expect is interviews with right-wing politicians.

“I’m not equipped to have all the facts like CNN, like an Anderson Cooper who’s been studying this, [like] Rachel Maddow. I wish Jonathan Van Ness could get a late-night talk show. They study politics. I don’t study politics, I study emotions. I would do a disservice trying to argue with a politician on my show.”
