The former 'Bachelor' star is officially married to the political strategist!
After making waves in 2021 with his public coming out, former football player and reality TV star Colton Underwood got engaged to his fiance, political strategist Jordan C. Brown in 2022! And after their year-long engagement, the two tied the knot in a Napa Valley ceremony in 2023!
To celebrate the occasion, and to make us believe in love again, here's a timeline of their whirlwind romance!
September 2021 — Vacationing in Hawaii
Months after publicly coming out, Underwood and Brown were seen out and about together while vacationing in Hawaii (the two even apparently swapped some kisses, engaging in PDA) in September of 2021, but the two had yet to publicly talk about or confirm their relationship.
December 1, 2021 — Underwood Confirms He and Brown Are Dating
In an early December 2021 interview with Us Weekly, Underwood officially confirmed his relationship Brown, saying he came along at just the right time to help him ease into his life as an out gay man.
"I'm happy, I'm in love, and I'm in a good position," he said at the time. "Everything as far as that goes has been pretty smooth."
December 6, 2021 — The Two Go Instagram Official
Later in December, Underwood publicly shared pictures of he and Brown (who was celebrating his 39th birthday) together on his Instagram account in a series of Story posts that said, "Happy birthday to my dog-loving, family man, corn-fed love."
January 2022 — The Two Buy a House Together
Underwood and Brown rang in the new year together by taking their relationship to the next level, purchasing a $3 million home in the Los Angeles metro area where the two could move in together. Underwood even posted a pic of himself on IG having dinner and wine while sitting on the floor of an empty room (though it's wasn't clear if the room he's in is part of his brand new place).
February 2022 — Underwood & Brown Officially Get Engaged
On the last day of February 2022, Underwood publicly announced his engagement to Brown, telling People that they decided to get engaged in Big Sur after his birthday.
"I'm extremely happy! 2021 was the most transformative year of my life," he told the magazine. "Starting 2022 off with my best friend, teammate and now fiance is something I never thought was going to be possible."
"The only time in my life I'm ok with wasting a bottle of champagne," Brown said in his own Instagram post. "I love you babe."
May 2023 — The Two Tie the Knot
The happy couple said their "I Do's" on May 13, 2023 during a three-day-long celebration at the Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley.
"We wanted to break some of the traditional norms of what a ceremony and a wedding look like," Underwood told People. "And for the entire weekend, we recognize that a lot of people attending, both of our families and some of our friends, this will be their first queer wedding. We really want to make it special."
