JoJo Siwa is opening up about her past drama with Candace Cameron Bure — and she continues to express her feelings and stand her ground.

Last year, Siwa called Cameron Bure the "rudest celebrity" she's ever met in a TikTok video, leading to a brief social media feud. While Cameron Bure suggested they made amends, Siwa later revealed some undisclosed details, leaving their relationship unclear.

The feud reignited when Cameron Bure made comments about "traditional marriage," leading many to think LGBTQ+ stories would be excluded from her Great American Family television network.

Speaking on The Viall Files podcast, Siwa said she initially regretted calling Cameron Bure out but changed her mind after learning about Cameron Bure’s apparent stance on LGBTQ+ matters. Siwa felt compelled to stand up for her community, saying, "That's my people, you know what I mean? And I gotta stand up for my people, and that's messed up."

She added that she also wished Cameron Bure was “able to be a little more open.”

Regarding the "traditional marriage" statement, Siwa clarified she had no problem with straight relationships being shown, but the spiteful nature of the comment bothered her.

“It was like the article said ‘Candace Cameron says no to gays,’” she said. “It gave me a little sense of, like, ‘Okay, you and her are never gonna agree. You and her are never going to be friends.”

Amid the fallout, Cameron Bure apparently unfollowed a Full House co-star on Instagram, and there were accusations of homophobic behavior on set, which Cameron Bure denied.

In the meantime, Siwa remains dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and advocates for inclusivity and understanding, even amidst differences. She envisions a world where diversity is embraced, and people can coexist harmoniously.
