“Good God Get a Grip Girl” realness!

Earlier this year, HBO announced Jaida Essence Hall (Drag Race season 12 winner), Sasha Velour (Drag Race season nine winner), and Priyanka (Canada’s Drag Race season 1 winner) as the new cohosts of We’re Here season four. Now, HBO has announced that another Drag Race superstar is joining the upcoming fourth season – none other than Latrice Royale!

Starting with season four, Royale, Hall, Velour, and Priyanka are replacing former cohosts Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, and Eureka. We’re Here creators Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram wrote in a statement (via Variety):

“In this increasingly hostile political climate, we are grateful to HBO for their dedication to telling LGBTQ+ stories that meet the moment and document our history. We are thrilled to expand our drag family and give much-needed love to the people on the front lines of hate.”

Royale made her mainstream reality TV debut back in the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She made it all the way to the top four, but unfortunately didn’t get to compete at the grand finale. Nonetheless, Royale was crowned the undisputed Miss Congeniality of the season.

In subsequent years, Royale competed on All Stars 1 alongside Manila Luzon. She then returned once again for All Stars 4, where she competed by herself and placed fifth overall.

It’s incredibly exciting to hear that Royale is joining We’re Here as another host for the series. Along with Hall, Velour, and Priyanka, viewers will get an even wider range of perspectives and approaches to helping LGBTQ+ people in small cities across the US.

We love Latrice Royale and couldn’t be more excited about this new addition to We’re Here!

The three first seasons of We’re Here are available for streaming on Max.
