The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is finally coming back for its highly-anticipated fifth season, setting a premiere date for Tuesday, October 31 on Shudder and AMC+.
According to a release, season five of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula will feature a new, state-of-the-art set and the most diverse cast in history. Furthermore, season three winner Landon Cider will now be featured as the first-ever recurring judge on the show – which couldn’t be more exciting!
Dracmorda wrote in a press release:
“We have created four seasons of the main show at this point, and just wrapped our first all-stars season with The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans spin-off, and we consider all of that part of ‘Chapter 1’ of the Dragula story. With season five, we are beginning a new and innovative new chapter of the show, and we’ve retooled and updated the format in an incredibly exciting way.”
Swanthula noted that the Boulet Brothers themselves have now taken over as the series’ directors, adding:
“We’re going back to basics with the format: focusing on the competition element of the show, the incredible artists that we’ve cast, the out-of-this-world looks they create each week, and of course, drag artists doing insanely terrifying and shocking physical challenges on TV. This is the best-looking season of the show yet, and I can’t wait for fans to see these new competitors. They are truly the most impressive drag artists I have ever seen on-screen.”
Special guest judges featured on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula season five include Mike Flanagan, David Dastmalchian, Tannanarive Due, Kevin Smith, Jazmin Bean, and Matthew Lillard. Besides having Cider as a recurring judge in the panel, the fifth season will also include appearances from former contestants such as Victoria Elizabeth Black, Dahli, and Koco Caine.
We can’t wait to meet this new cast and find out who will be crowned the World’s Next Drag Supermonster!
