There’s no “straight” in LGBTQ+.

Season eight, episode eight of Below Deck Mediterranean, titled “Who Needs Frenemies,” aired on Bravo this Monday, November 13. During the episode, Max Salvador and Kyle Viljoen got themselves into an argument after Salvador claimed to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

It all started when Viljoen questioned Salvador’s relationship with a former charter guest, wanting to place bets that things wouldn’t work out between them. Viljoen told Salvador, “Don’t rub your f*cking straight d*ck around here.”

Salvador then responded that he is “LGBT plus S,” which prompted Viljoen to ask, “What is S?”

The scene moved forward with Salvador reiterating that he is “straight” after all, drawing in some anger from Viljoen toward a straight person who tried to claim that he’s a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Viljoen told Salvador in the episode:

“You guys have your ‘straight.’ You cannot include yourself in LGBT, you must be crazy. Support your straightness and show your allyship for us. That’s it.”

Though Salvador pushed back on what Viljoen was saying, the gay Below Deck Med star stood his ground. Viljoen added: “LGBTQ+ does not include straight individuals. Not even allies are within our acronym. That’s our thing. I accept your allyship but I do not accept you saying you are part of the LGBTQ+ community.”

That’s a lot of energy for a drunk conversation between two people on a show like Below Deck Med… but hey, it happened!

Below Deck Mediterranean is currently airing on Bravo.
