We’ll always love Adore Delano.

On Thursday, November 16, the RuPaul’s Drag Race season six and All Stars 2 legend announced that she’s getting facial feminization surgery (FFS) – a gender-affirming treatment that some trans women undergo during their transition period.

In an interview with Out back in August 2023, Delano had already revealed that she’d be undergoing this procedure in November. She said at the time:

“Right now, I’m just focused on getting surgeries in November, and then my mom is coming out to just take care of me and stuff. [I want] to go into the new year feeling more confident and euphoric about stuff. There are a lot of legalities that come with it too, with name change and stuff like that. But I have to really give myself some time to get the personals done, because I can just work every day and just go to sleep for three days when I come home. Right before my surgery, I’m landing from Australia, and then I have eight days [until] I go to surgery. I feel blessed, but I still have to give myself the time to recover after that.”

Delano made this announcement in an Instagram post with two pictures of herself in a doctor’s office. In the second picture, she tagged her mother, Bonnie Noriega. “It’s finally happening!! #ffs” the Drag Race star wrote in the caption.

Delano came out as trans in June 2023 with a video shared on TikTok and Instagram. “I wanted to let everyone know that I am transitioning,” she said in the video. “It’s made me probably the happiest I've ever been in my adult life."

Several celebrities took to the comments section to wish Delano a great surgery and healing process. Michelle Visage wrote, “LOVE YOU.” Darienne Lake commented, “Wishing you the quickest and painless healing.” Jinkx Monsoon left a comment filled with hearts, kisses, and face-holding-back-tears emojis. Olivia Lux replied with hearts and sparkle emojis. Mrs. Kasha Davis commented with butterfly emojis.

We’re also wishing Adore Delano a speedy recovery – and can’t wait to see the final results!
