Matt Bomer might be heading back to the USA Network soon.

Bomer was talking to TV Line about his current critically-acclaimed drama Fellow Travelers when the site asked him if there was any talk about a White Collar revival.

“There has been talk,” Bomer assured. “It’s actually very legitimate talk, it’s in conversation.” He added that “a lot of things need to fall into place, but there is a plan in effect, at least, so we’ll see what happens.”

White Collar, created by Jeff Eastin, followed a charming con man and white-collar criminal named Neal Caffrey (Bomer) who was arrested and forced to work with an FBI agent to catch other white-collar criminals. It aired for six successful seasons from 2009-2014.

It also starred Tim DeKay as FBI Special Agent in Charge Peter Burke, Willie Garson as Neal’s con man friend Mozzie, Tiffany Thiessen as Peter’s wife, and Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins as FBI Agents Hilarie Burton and Natalie Morales.

Garson sadly passed away in 2021, and Bomer addressed how his passing would affect the show’s revival.

“Obviously, that’s the first thing that came to my mind,” Bomer said about Garson’s absence in a reboot. “But I felt that what Jeff Eastin presented to Tim [DeKay] and I honors what he contributed to the show and honors him as a person. There’s no way I would ever be involved with it again if it didn’t do so. So I think it’s a way for him to, in some ways, still be a part of the show.”

Bomer is currently starring alongside Jonathan Bailey, Jelani Alladin, and Noah J. Ricketts in the historical drama Fellow Travelers on Showtime. The show follows a group of gay men who live and work in Washington, DC in the 1950s during McCarthyism and the Lavender Scare. It follows their lives, careers, and loves all the way up through the ’80s.
