The RuPaul’s Drag Race queendom keeps getting more and more inclusive. Thank gawd!

The first season of Drag Race Germany introduced viewers to Pandora Nox as a queer 29-year-old drag performer from Vienna, Austria. She also talked about being an assigned female at birth (AFAB) contestant in the series.

Nox won three maxi challenges over the course of the competition: a runway challenge, a commercials challenge, and the ball challenge. In turn, Nox fell in the bottom two twice: in the improv challenge and in the roast challenge.

Ultimately, Nox made it to the grand finale with Metamorkid (also from Austria) and Yvonne Nightstand (from Germany). The three finalists performed to RuPaul’s “Call Me Mother” and walked the runway one last time. In the end, judges Barbie Breakout, Dianne Brill, Gianni Jovanovic crowned Nox as the winner, turning her into the first-ever cis woman to win a season in the Drag Race franchise.

Upon being cast on Drag Race Germany, Nox became the third-ever assigned female at birth (AFAB) contestant to compete in the Drag Race franchise. The two previously cast members were Victoria Scone (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season three, Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World) and Clover Bish (Drag Race España season three).

Much like Scone on Canada vs the World, Nox took the opportunity of being on Drag Race to walk the runway as a drag king in the “Glitter Party” category. Many fans have been calling for Drag Race to start including drag kings, and these runways have certainly helped move the needle in that direction.

Condragulations are in order to Pandora Nox for becoming the first AFAB winner of Drag Race!
