Turns out that the 2024 edition of the Super Bowl was all about the ladies — and we’re living for it.
Yes, there were two whole teams of men playing the game, trading field goals, and touchdowns all the way through overtime… but the true highlights of the night belonged to women!
Whether it was through commercials, trailers, Usher’s halftime show, or sitting in the audience, these women brought us life during Super Bowl LVIII.

Usher had a lot of guests at his halftime show, including Lil John, will.i.am, and Ludacris, but one of our favorites had to be when he brought out H.E.R. to do a killer guitar solo during a mix of “U Got It Bad” and “Bad Girl.”
Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande slay in first ‘Wicked’ trailer...
Undoubtedly one of the biggest movies of 2024 is going to be Wicked: Part 1, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, and we got the first trailer for the film based on the iconic musical during the Super Bowl! The trailer introduces us to Grande’s Glinda and Erivo’s Elphaba, giving us the first real look at the two of them in the roles… and we love it!

Even more celeb women were there! While many of the celebs in the audience were there rooting for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, Gaga showed up in a bedazzled 49ers jacket.
Beyoncé teases new album during Verizon commercial…
The Super Bowl is known for its huge, internet-breaking commercials, and this year, the biggest commercial came courtesy of Verizon and Beyoncé. In the 90-second ad, Beyoncé seeks a way to break the internet, including by opening a lemonade stand, becoming a video game streamer, unveiling an AI version of herself, going to space, and ultimately saying “okay, they ready, drop the new music.”
…and then announces ‘Act II’ album for Mar. 29, 2024
That new music is going to be her new Act II album, a country record, that will be released on March 29!
Beyoncé drops ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ single and visualizer
Talk about Country Realness! Beyoncé released the first two songs off of Act II, and she is delivering on her promise of making a true country record! “It’s a real life boogie and a real life hoe-down, don’t be a bitch come take it to the floor now,” she sings in “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

The second single Beyoncé released a visualizer for is the slowed-down ballad “16 Carriages!” Listening to this song, we’re all ready to be our best cowboy, cowgirl, and cowthey selves! Yeehaw!!!

Perhaps the biggest celebrity in attendance at the Super Bowl was Taylor Swift, who is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She attended the game with an entourage of famous friends that included Ice Spice, Lana Del Rey, and Blake Lively.
