Ricky Martin is putting his acting hat back on, and he's doing it alongside so many legendary queens in Apple TV+'s newest limited series Palm Royale.

Out got the chance to speak with the eternal gay heartthrob (who is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his self-titled debut English album this year) about working with some of the industry's most beloved actresses, what changes he's noticed in the entertainment industry for gay artists, and what he wants the next stage of his acting career to look like. (Spoiler: it involves getting down and dirty as a villain, something we'd definitely love to see!)

"I want to be an antagonist. I want to be dark and I want to be hated," Martin, who also starred in Ryan Murphy's critically acclaimed drama series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, told Out about his dream acting role. "I want to be able to shave my eyebrows and be a psycho. I want to do things where I need to change physically, but it's coming little by little. I'm just throwing it out there. And if not, one day I'll write what I really need to work on and maybe I'll produce and I'll direct and I'll do the whole thing. But this is just an amazing beginning and I say a beginning because I believe this is one beautiful cycle that I'm only starting."

"Everything around me, there's such a beautiful energy filled with light that is motivating me to keep going and it's making me feel that I'm in a really good path," he continued. "So let's see what happens. One day at a time."
