After 100 episodes of the hit first responder drama 9-1-1, fans finally got the gay kiss they've been clamoring for!

To mark the anniversary, Oliver Stark's character Evan "Buck" Buckley kissed a man after years of hinting about his sexuality. Now, fans are hoping the show will finally explore his relationship with his best friend and fellow firefighter Eddie (Ryan Guzman).

Fans of the beloved Ryan Murphy show are so invested in the possible relationship that they even gave Buck and Eddie the cute couple nickname "Buddie."

Sadly, "Buddie" isn't a thing yet, but it may be on the horizon because after being a womanizer and then committing to one woman, Buck just had his first same-sex kiss.

In the 100th episode, Buck is struggling with feeling jealous of Eddie's new relationship with former 118 firefighter Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.), but at the very end of the episode Buck finally realizes that he's not worried about losing Eddie, he's worked up over Tommy.

Then Tommy kisses Buck and asks him out. We love to see queer joy on our screens!

"I don't think he consciously wanted that. I don't think he knew what he was feeling throughout the whole episode," Stark said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly about the show's historic moment.

Stark said that the kiss was "a long time coming" and confirmed that fans were right about the show hinting at Buck's queerness. "I think it's been seasons and seasons in the making, so it's really nice to see it officially come to fruition. I think the crumbs have been there," he said. "Maybe on one hand in quite obvious ways, but on the other hand, in less obvious ways — of just searching, of trying to.... There was obviously something that wasn't clicking in Buck's personality and his openness with himself and his acceptance of himself. It felt to me like there was something beneath the surface, right?"

When speaking with TV Line, Stark said that he considers Buck to be bisexual. "That's the way I have it in my head. We'll see flashes of how he might look to label it in the next episode, but yeah, I think that would be the correct term."

Now that fans got the kiss they've been waiting for, the door is wide open for Buck and Eddie to finally get together. Fingers crossed!
