We love this power couple!
Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal are the internet's official Mommy and Daddy, and we want to show our appreciation for them.
Pascal recently interviewed Paulson for a feature in Interview Magazine, and their friendship is making us want to go back down memory lane!
In the interview, they talk about the days they first met, some of Paulson's Halloween costumes, their reactions to early jobs they got, and other actors they love. It's an intimate and detailed interview that really gets at the heart of their relationship. And we want to celebrate that heart with pictures from throughout their decades-long friendship!
Sarah Paulson is one of the most celebrated actors of her time, being nominated for eight Primetime Emmys and five Golden Globes, winning each for her role as prosecutor Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. She's also best friends with Pedro Pascal, who was recently nominated for his first Emmy and Golden Globe for playing Joel in The Last of Us.
Together, they're one of our favorite BFF couples in the world!
They're friendship goes back decades, with the two of them meeting in 1993 when Pascal was studying at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, becoming friends with some recent LaGuardia High graduates, including Paulson.
"We would go to see movies all the time in those years, and we would get so lost in them," Paulson told Esquire. "You can fill in the blanks about the why of that however you like, but I think there were things we wanted to escape mentally, emotionally, spiritually."
When Paulson was finding early success, she even helped Pascal out with money.
"There were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself," Paulson told Esquire about those days.
They've even poked fun at their nicknames as the Internet's Daddy and Mommy, appearing together in an SNL sketch last year. In the sketch, they played two high school teachers who had to beg students to stop making fancams of them and calling them "Mommy" and "Daddy."
“Fine, it’s true,” Paulson says. “He’s Daddy, I’m Mommy, and we’re a happy family. No crumbs left.”
