Fresh off their incredible turns on Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Game of Thrones, respectively, Nicole Kidman Elisabeth Moss, and Gwendoline Christie are heading to Australia for a female-powered turn on Top of the Lake: China Girl. The long-awaited new season comes four years after Moss starred in the first season of the groundbreaking crime series—a role that landed her a Golden Globe award.

After spending 12 episodes of the first season investigating the disappearance of a pregnant 12-year-old girl in New Zealand, season two will kick off four years later with the death of an unidentified Asian girl who washes up on Australia’s Bondi Beach. The season doesn’t drop until September but already comes amidst a fever pitch of critical acclaim. The entire season premiered in full earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and was met with near unanimous praise.

Top of the Lake: China Girl airs as a three-part special beginning Sunday, Sept. 10 at 9 PM ET on SundanceTV. Watch the preview, below, catch up on the first season, and prepare your Life Alert for another groundbreaking TV show.
