We have the exclusive first look at episode 3 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9… and mama, the DRAMA!
The girlies walk back into the werk room with Gottmik and Plastique Tiara having just won their first Beautiful Benefactress Badges. Gottmik also won the lip sync, which is exciting! But she then had to scissor a sister — which, in this context, isn't any fun. Oh, at all.
When Angeria Paris VanMicheals (the scissored sister) re-enters the werk room, one could say that she's feeling entertained… amused by the judging. Gottmik explains her reasons, and Roxxxy Andrews thanks her for "doing my karma for me."
Angie laughs, and plays along, but also reveals (in a confessional) that she's getting back at Mik. And though she can't really read the doll right now, Miss Roxxxy isn't going unchecked, either!
You know the ghost that Jorgeous is known to punch while performing in a lip sync?
Maybe that ghost is in the werk room asking Jorgeous to speak up, which would explain why the season 14 star just blurts out that she would've still cut off Nina West from earning a badge in the next challenge.
The girls are gooped and gagged that Jorgeous is freely volunteering that information. As far as we could see, no one was even asking her! "Damn, Jorgeous! She's coming for Nina," Vanessa Vanjie says in a confessional, SCREAMING. "But I get it. Nina is a threat."
After laughing with Jorgeous, Nina goes straight to Shannel to talk about how badly they need to win a badge. We can't help but wonder if Shannel is having flashbacks to the team format of All Stars 1. Shanna? Ninnel? Meh… we're still workshopping.
But wait! This is when things get really juicy.
Shannel thinks that an acting challenge is coming up next. Nina wonders if it's the Snatch Game and says that she's very excited to do the character she's prepared, which is a man. And what a cute little coincidence that is, because Shannel is playing a man, too.
When Nina reveals that she's doing Liberace, Shannel's face just drops immediately. "Are you for real?" Shannel asks. "That's what I brought." And just like that, Nina and Shannel are SPIRALING about the fact that they're both doing Liberace for the Snatch Game.
But this doesn't feel like a "what you wanna do isn't necessarily what you're gonna do" moment. It doesn't read like a funny scene between two queens having a kiki. Nina is literally freaking out. Shannel is visibly in her head.
When Ru announces that they're playing the Snatch Game of Love this week, it's clear that this chari-tea fest just got really real, babes.
