The network continues its inclusivity in its TV DC Universe, which includes Arrow & The Flash.
While some networks and producers struggle to show diversity and include LGBTQ characters in their narratives, Greg Berlanti seems to have a stash of gay characters and superheroes in his back pocket, ready to employ any time.
The latest example is openly gay actor Russell Tovy (Quantico, Looking) who has been tapped to play The Ray, an openly gay superhero in an upcoming Arrow-verse crossover event, as well as in a standalone animated series on The CW Seed, according to Entertainment Weekly.
