Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are set to co-star, executive produce, and co-own a new drama series for Apple, according to The Hollywood Reporter

The series, as yet untitled, will follow the lives of the morning show hosts there to wake America up each day, and the "unique challenges faced by the women (and men) who carry out this daily televised ritual." The series has received a straight-to-series, two-season bid from Apple, who are making their first move into the world of scripted programming with this programming.

The show will boast 10 episodes per season and draw from the book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, by Brian Stelter. It marks Aniston's return to television more than 10 years after Friends ended, and the onscreen reunion of the pair after Witherspoon guest starred as Rachel Green's sister on the hit sitcom.

Jay Carson (House of Cards) is writing, executive producing, and serving as showrunner for the series. Aniston and Witherspoon will produce via their respective production companies, Echo Films and Hello Sunshine.

Apple has ordered one other program straight-to-series: Amazing Stories, an anthology drama from the minds of Steven Spielberg and Bryan Fuller.

Neither show has a premiere date, and it's yet to be seen how Apple's original programming will be available for customers to stream.
