Candice Bergen and her co-stars are back in the newsroom.
Iconic 90s sitcom Murphy Brown is the latest show getting a revival — it returns to CBS this fall — and now we have out first look at the reunited cast. Star Candice Bergen shared a photo of the gang all back together on her Instagram this week. In the photo, Bergen poses with series creator Diane English as well as original Murphy Brown co-stars Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud. To Bergen's left is newcomer Nik Dodani, a gay actor known for his role as Zahid in Netflix's Atypical.
The original series, which ran from 1988 to 1998, was a critical success and a pop culture juggernaut, winning 18 Emmys during its run. In a statement about the revival, CBS said, “Murphy Brown returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate.”
