McCain said she won't be watching 'Queer Eye' again.
Queer EyeMathew RodriguezIf you need someone to redo your entire home in a week or call out a Republican pundit on Twitter, look no further than Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk.
Earlier this week, John McCain’s daughter and The View panelist Meghan McCain spewed a ton of lies about the Green New Deal, the proposed progressive legislation that currently has Republicans in a tizzy. After calling McCain out earlier this week as “everything wrong with journalism,” Berk got into an online spat with the TV talking head.
Today, u @MeghanMcCain were everything wrong w/journalism. Presented w/the fact that u were quoting incorrect data abt the #GreenNewDeal u continued 2 say it. Why perpetuate the #fakenews problem we have in this country? Maybe it’s time 2 take your lies2 @FoxNews& leave @TheView

Berk told McCain to take her lies to Fox News and two days later, McCain responded: “I am NOT a journalist, it makes me sad and scared so many people confuse this. I am a conservative political commentator - I represent the most conservative point of view in the country, which is my job every day on The View.”
Hey Bobby -
1. I am NOT a journalist, it makes me sad and scared so many people confuse this. I am a conservative political commentator - I represent the most conservative point of view in the country, which is my job every day on The View.... https://t.co/2q1SKK9qO1— Meghan McCain (@MeghanMcCain) March 6, 2019
McCain may have taken two days to respond, but that was not the case for Berk, who responded to McCain’s defense right away.
“Blatant lies are not a point of view honey!” he tweeted. “There [sic] are just a way to rile the base just like Trump does. I used to have a lot of respect for you and not lump you on with the likes of him, but you were literally repeating his lies and are becoming no better.”

McCain responded that she was just “pointing out the financial implications” of the deal on the average American. She then said that she won’t be watching Queer Eye anymore.
That is not what I was doing, I was pointing out the financial implications an average American would feel if the green new deal were enacted - but clearly I won't be changing your mind. I also guess I won't be watching queer eye anymore. :( Have a nice day. https://t.co/VYXNmguMQu

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) introduced the Green New Deal resolution last month. The proposal is less of a policy proposal and more of a set of lofty goals to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions in America by up to 60 percent by 2030 and bring human-caused emissions to net zero by 2050. Several presidential hopefuls have endorsed the deal, including Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Kirsten Gillibrand.
During her time speaking on The View, Meghan McCain repeatedly misrepresented the deal by attacking things that the deal does not even mention. For instance, she said that the plan calls for the elimination of airplanes. Airplanes are not mentioned.
