Queer EyeRose DommuQueer Eye’s Fab Five have made over a lot of “heroes” at this point, but one of the most memorable of the show’s stars is season two’s Mama Tammye, for whom the team remodeled a community center in Gay, Georgia.
During an interview on Good Morning America, the five queers were surprised with a Tammye reunion — first host Michael Strathan faked them out with a video message, and then joined them in the studio for an emotional reunion.
Tammye read a passage from her journal for the Fab Five thanking God for “one of the biggest blessings you brought — not only to me, but the whole community of Gay, Georgia — five boys that I am now proud to call my sons.”
“Antoni, Bobby, Jonathan, Karamo, and Tan are instruments of your love and grace to a hurting world. Allow them to see that their purpose is making this planet a better place for all. Amen.”
The gurus also reunited with Tammye’s adult gay son Myles, who was in the audience.
“Thanks Good Morning America, I love a solid cry before I’ve eaten,” Antoni Porowski wrote in an Instagram story.
Before the reunion, Strathan asked the Fab Five which of their co-stars they would make over if given the chance. Jonathan Van Ness said he’d give Tan France a new hairstyle (please) while France said he’d put JVN in “a total dude, dude look.”
“Too many buttons,” said Van Ness, shuddering.
