And the first of it releases in July.
Queer EyeMikelle StreetRenewals for everybody!
On the heels of FX announcing their renwal of Pose, committing to a third season of the history-making series, Netflix has announced the renewal of Queer Eye for a fourth and fifth season. Talk about leaning in!
Come July 19, the Fab Five will return to Kansas City on Netflix to do what they do: make-over some … people in need of makeovers. The season will run for eight episodes that will all go live at the same time as per Netflix’s habit.
In season five, which will start production next week, the crew will head to Philadelphia, sprucing up things as they go. Don’t expect that to air until 2020.
We should be keeping our same Fab Five for both seasons: Antoni Porowski for food and wine, Bobby Berk doing the interior design, Jonathan Van Ness with grooming, Karamo Brown giving tips on culture, and Tan France holding down the fashion side.
The series has become a bit of a runaway success with the experts penning books, and inking all sorts of deals. They also shot a special for the show which many expect to air soon called Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!. Hell, they even appeared in Taylor Swift’s last video which as we all know is the true sign of gay celebrity!
One thing we do have to ask though: Will the originators from Queer Eye For the Straight Guy ever en masse make a cameo on the new Queer Eye? We would like to see it.
