Six years after the pop singer’s death, Spike Lee has directed his second documentary on Michael Jackson.

The doc focuses on Michael Jackson’s groundbreaking 1979 album, Off the Wall, which featured the hits “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” and “Rock with You”.

At Sundance, Lee talked about his heartfelt intentions.

“One of the major things we wanted to do with this documentary is, people got to be reminded; people forget. Like Bad 25, the first documentary [I directed about him], this will also be another reminder of the brilliance of Michael Joseph Jackson. Also, young generations that have been born; they need to remember, too.”

The documentary features cameos from The Weeknd, Kobe Bryant, Lee Daniels, Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, Jackson's parents Katherine and Joe Jackson, and many more.

In one scene, The Weekend talks about discovering his falsetto through singing along to Off the Wall. Basketball player Kobe Bryant talks about incorporating some of MJ’s moves into his game.
