We — and I can’t emphasize this enough — love to see it.
Mikelle StreetIt is the final season of Schitt’s Creek. At least, the final season is on the way. The series announced earlier this year that the well followed show’s newest slate of episodes would be its last, and we’ve been in mourning ever since. But, creator Dan Levy has given us at last a small consolation prize.
On Tuesday, an Instagram user uploaded photos of the finale season’s advertisements outside of his office. One shot advertises a January 7 launch date and features the Rose family, dressed up in their finest, standing outside of the Rosebud Motel, arm in arm. But the advertisement is the one that went viral.
In it, Levy, as David Rose, kisses his show costar Noah Reid, who plays Patrick Brewer on the show. The pair are engaged and, in this shot, are wearing suits, with Rose’s bowtie undone. Are we getting a wedding? I would like to see it!
“F*ck yes we did,” Levy wrote to Twitter, reposting the shot. “Shine bright, friends. Very grateful for Pop TV and CBC and their support on this campaign that my teenage self would never have dreamed to be true.”
The show’s official Twitter account even gave the exact Los Angeles address for the display. “7677 Sunset Boulevard,” they wrote. “If you want to grab a selfie (and send it our way!)”
We expect this will only be the beginning of the emotional and sentimental moments for the season. Someone get the tissues ready.
