And the show's creators have another drag competition on the way.
RuPaul's Drag RaceDragMikelle StreetAhead of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars season five, the series announced that it would be jumping ship. Instead of airing on VH1 like the regular season, the show would be heading to Showtime. That decision was reversed in light of the global pandemic that sidelined ... well everything. Now, the show has announced that All Stars season six will, indeed, switch. But this time, it's to a streaming service.
RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars season six is set to premiere on Paramount+. the show is in a slate of new reality television shows that will air on the new streaming service that includes Road Rules, The Real World Homecoming: New York, and The Challenge: All Stars. Oh, and a brand new drag competition with Queen of the Universe.
"In a singing competition like no other, drag queens from all around the world compete to see who is Queen of The Universe," a description reads. The show is produced by World of Wonder, which also produces Drag Race. "High heels, high octaves, high competition - this drag queen singing competition will blow your wig off."
Will Stephanie's Child compete or make cameos? Will Pabllo Vittar judge? We would like to see it.
The show will join a ton of drag content on television. RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., Drag Race Espana, Canada's Drag Race, and RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under are all set to air this year. Supremme de Luxe will join the small group of hosts with Drag Race Espana.
