More Victor + Benji content is coming our way!
Love SimonTVEntertainmentMey RudeLove, Victor is coming back to bring even more adorable high school gayness!
Hulu announced today that they’re renewing the show for a third season, a month and a half after the second season premiered.
The series follows the events of the hit 2018 movie Love, Simon, but this time, focusing on high school student Victor (Michael Cimino), a star athlete at his school who sees the original "Love, Simon" Creek Secrets blog posts and writes to Simon (Nick Robinson) asking for advice on coming out.
Hulu has renewed the series following a successful second season. In the second season, the newly out-of-the-closet Victor began his junior year of high school, facing "a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia, and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete." Oh, and he’s also dealing with the excitement of his blossoming relationship with Benji.
Out said that the second season is "messier, angstier, hornier, and more dramatic in all the best ways," than the first season, and we can’t wait to see what happens when the show continues.
The show was originally planned to air on Disney+, and so the first season was written with that audience in mind. Since it moved to Hulu, the show has gotten to explore coming out in a more authentic and messy way.
Love, Victor also stars Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, George Sear, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, James Martinez, and Ana Ortiz. It comes from This Is Us showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who also wrote the screenplay for Love, Simon.
Hulu has not announced how many episodes will be in season 3, or a release date, but you can be sure we’ll be watching for any news!
