The Great British Bake Off heartthrob and his dance partner were made for the competition!

Across the pond, Strictly Come Dancing (the English version of DWTS) is currently airing its 19th season on BBC One, andGreat British Bake Off heartthrob John Whaite and dance partner Johannes Radebe are turning heads for all the right reasons!
During this past Sunday's episode (the second of the season), the dancing duo, who made history as Strictly's first-ever male same-sex couple, performed a routine to the Cha Cha, dancing to none other than Olly Alexander-fronted Years & Years' latest bop "Starstruck." (We love queer icons supporting other queer icons!) The two hypnotized the judges' table and the crowd, earning a score of 31 out of 40 and tieing for the second-highest score of the night.
"My head is still up amongst those stars this morning. Last night was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life," Whaite said in an Instagram post following his and Radebe's epic Cha Cha. "Thank you @johannesradebe for pushing me with kindness and empathy — you’re an angel walking Earth."
"It’s a thank you from me and a thank you from him. Thank you to all who voted," Whaite then said in a follow-up post when he learned that he and Radebe would be advancing to next week's round of the Strictly competition after a public vote. "We are taking it week by week, and no matter where we place I’ll be forever grateful for this experience. Especially as I’m getting to dance with this one."
As if Whaite and Radebe's performance wasn't already hypnotizing enough, Whaite also posted some behind-the-scenes footage of he and Radebe rehearsing their Cha Cha routine, and the only thing we can say is that we are looking respectfully.
Elsewhere in DWTS cinematic universe, social media superstar and Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa and her dance partner Jenna Johnson also continue to slay, placing very highly on the first two weeks of the American DWTS's current season, and then just recently, tieing for the highest-scoring performance of the night in week three's Britney Spears-themed episode.
The queering of one of the world's most beloved and watched mainstream reality competition franchises is something that has been needed for a very long time, and we absolutely love to see it!
