In addition to the upcoming sixth season of Queer Eye, which will premiere December 31 on the streamer, the beloved grooming expert and TV personality is set to star in their own Netflix show based on their hit podcast Getting Curious.
Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness will explore "various fields to uncover complexities in a wide range of subjects," according to the show’s official logline. And "from skyscrapers to bugs, or from gender identities to snacks," it looks like nothing’s off the table! The podcast, which premiered in 2015, also tackled a slew of interesting topics like the history of scissors and the first-ever Olympic Games.
Van Ness shared the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that they have "been working towards this moment for almost ten years."
The show serves as Van Ness' first-ever solo network TV project in which they both star and executive produce. The series will also be produced by the makers of RuPaul’s Drag Race World of Wonder.
"In each episode I take on a different question," Van Ness shared. "Going out into the world with multiple experts to get the answers we’re all (or at least I am) hungry for!"
Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness premieres on Netflix on January 28, 2022!
