Certain queens have made plenty of coin from 'RuPaul’s Drag Race,' henny!
Over the years, the cash tips on RuPaul's Drag Race and All Stars have increased significantly. This has benefitted queens who often spend thousands of dollars to get their looks together in preparation for the show.
At this point in Drag Race herstory, winning a maxi challenge during a regular season comes with a reward of $5,000. There are also certain mini-challenges that are worth $2,500.
On All Stars, winning a maxi challenge and its subsequent lip sync for your legacy equals a tip of $10,000. Since the introduction of the lip sync assassin format, these cash tips can also roll over from week to week, meaning that certain contestants can make $20,000 or even $30,000 from winning a single lip sync for your legacy.
For both regular seasons and All Stars, the grand prize of RuPaul's Drag Race had been $100,000 since season four. However, that grand prize was increased to $150,000 in season 14 and then to $200,000 in season 15.
With All Stars 7 being an "all-winners" season, the grand prize was also raised to $200,000 for the Queen of All Queens. Then, another title and a cash prize of $50,000 was introduced for the Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses.
Now that season 15 has come to an end, it's time to look back at the queens who have made the most money from competing on RuPaul's Drag Race.
10. Monét X Change – $115,000
