Good news! It looks like Euphoria will be back sooner than we thought!
We’ve been patiently waiting for the third season of HBO’s acclaimed teen drama series Euphoria, and now thanks to an interview the show’s star Sydney Sweeney did with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, we know that work will start on the new season soon!
In the interview, posted on TikTok, Horowitz asked Sweeney if she’d be taking a little time off after her busy few months, to which the Madame Web star replied, “I go into Euphoria,” leaving Horowitz stunned.
“We’re actually getting in front of a camera to do Euphoria? Finally?” he asked.
“Maybe,” Sweeney coyly replied.
“Have you seen scripts?” Horowitz followed up.
“Maybe, I don’t know,” Sweeney teased again.
“Well, that’s a relief,” Horowitz added. “Yeah, I always feel like I go home. It’s like home when I go back to it. I like it,” Sweeney replied. “I’m excited, it’s like family.”

We don’t know exactly what Sweeney means, or how soon she’ll get in front of a camera, but this is the most exciting Euphoria update we’ve heard in a while!
In November, HBO boss Casey Bloys said that the third season of the show wouldn't be coming until 2025. There was also a three-year gap between the first and second seasons in 2019 and 2022. Hopefully, this means that the season could come a little sooner than that.
The upcoming third season comes after the tragic death of one of the show’s stars, Angus Cloud, and the notorious flop that was creator Sam Levinson’s other show for HBO, The Idol.
